Commonly Bought Holiday Souvenirs
It's mandatory that when you go on a holiday you're bound to by pay head over heels for a worthless piece of junk we know as "souvenirs", Be it toys, accessory, clothes or cosmetics they never get used, and the majority of them time you never even hand them out.
Locations and useless stuff to buy
The Middle East Region - Egyptian or Dubai holidays It's almost certain you'll take away a stuff camel as they swamp every street and corner! You just can't get away from them until you buy one for your mother or niece but never actually end up giving it to them and just chuck it onto of your wardrobe whilst thinking it was the worst present you've ever bought! I suspect that the stuffed camel industry is in its millions as every tourist eventually buys one!
Caribbean - Cuba
so what else are you likely on your Cuba Holidays A great round cigar! Avoid buying the giant cheap ones as there half full of tissues and can't be smoked! For a real Cuban Cigar look to pay anything between $15-$30 dollars, if you've got the money buy some for your Dad or Granddad back home i promise they'll really enjoy them! (Cuban Cigars cannot be imported into the US)
South East Asia - Vietnam
This proved to be comparatively difficult as even the prominent cities and vollages weren't aimed at tourists but were more localised and consisted generally of farmer markets so you will have to make do on whats on offer there. From my Vietnam holidaysExperiences i came across little authentic set pot sets for as little as $3, Linen and traditional clothing prepared and tailor consisting of wonderful silk fabrics and cottons. Many of these very cheap gifts make thoughtfully great present which hold great value.
All souvenirs cost money which I take into consideration some tourists, especially backpackers cannot afford, if you're a backpacker and wish to commemorate you're travelling experiences with souvenirs why not cheekily steal the towels from you're hotel rooms to mark you're budget journeys.
