Boasts, Britz And Backpacker Help To Keep New Zealand Clear And Eco-friendly
Recycling facilities introduced at Auckland and Christchurch twigs of Maui, Britz and Backpacker.
Maui, Britz and Backpacker campervans is helping to keep Brand new Zealand green cleaner with the introduction regarding LoveNZ recycling facilities for customers to use at their own key Auckland + Christchurch branches..
The statement comes as recently launched research simply by Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) showed that, based on international visitors, the biggest difficulties with New Zealand's natural environment are kitty - and the possible lack of recycling facilities.
Maui, Britz and Backpacker General Manager Marketing and advertising, Kate Meldrum, said the business had always encouraged recycling amongst its staff but have been inspired to up the ante right after hearing about the Ministry for the Environment's "LoveNZ instruction Recycle with Care" thing.
"We view it as a fantastic way of assisting our customers with correct places to dispose their own waste and help enhance New Zealand's green cleaner image, " mentioned Kate.
Atmosphere Minister Trevor Mallard said it was fantastic to see the government's thing being found by specific tourism businesses.
"This is precisely what we were longing for once we started the initiative. Without a commitment from business to sustainability, the needs of green tourists in New Zealand won't be met. It is good to see the tourism sector has committed to taking a leadership part in protecting and enhancing the environment. "
Recycling stats released the other day by the Packaging Local authority or council showed that the quantity of packaging recycled through New Zealanders elevated 14. 5% between 2005 and 2007.
"This research shows that Kiwis are clearly just as ardent consumers of recycling facilities since our international visitors. The introduction of recycling services at the Auckland and Christchurch twigs means both our domestic and international individuals can continue to do their particular part for the environment even if they're overseas. "
Maui, Britz and Backpacker isn't any stranger to environmental pursuits.
