Europe on a budget. Wanting to know a rough idea of the cost of travelling around Europe for about 3 months.?

I’m wanting to travel Europe for about 3 months and just wanting a rough idea of the cost…. I’m wanting to go to Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Greece and a few other places… Happy to get around by all types of transport and stay in backpacker hostels.

buy a 3-month eurail pass:700-1300, depending on the options you choose
plane ticket from US: 1000-1200
3 months of accomodation: 3-5 k (it really varies depending where you stay, where you eat, etc)
cheapest thing to do is to stay with people you know or other people: use couchsurfing, or helpexchange, or woofing, or hospitality exchange (google these)
