The Nation of Thailand receives a large number of foreign holiday makers every year, above 15 million, and the vast majority enjoy themselves and return home without any problems especially when using Thailand promotions as a guide.

To this end, the ideal time to plan a Thailand vacation is between November and March. But check ahead because Thailand's climate varies dependent on location, for example central vs coastal.
Thailand packs in a busy three-week travel itinerary, starting out with Bangkok "its showcase capital with the Grand Palace, sparkling temples and exciting nightlife. Phuket is the second most popular destination renowned for its beautiful beaches and great hotels. From here you can de-camp to the quieter Krabi with its surprising karst background. Daytrips to the incredible Phi Phi islands or Pha Nga Bay are strongly recommended while on a trip to the Andaman Coast. Over on the Gulf coast is the self-styled boutique island of Samui, popular with expats, while back-packers head for the full moon parties of Koh Pha Ngan and divers gravitate to Koh Tao.
Thailand has great lodging for any person on any budget. If attempting to find exclusive resorts, Thailand has it. Searching for a bamboo and straw hut on the side of a remote beach, Thailand has it. In recent years some of the more popular back-packer locations have started to get even more dear, so making the more venturesome hikers go to more remote islands or shores. Eventually as those places become more popular they will become dearer too. This is just the story of Thailand. Generally even in more upscale places it's still possible to find good cheap bungalow on a beach, by a beach or close to the town center.
Thailand is a constitutional monarchy. From 1992 and till the 2006 coup, the country was considered a working democracy with constitutional changes of state. Generally free and fair multi-party elections held in December 2007 afterwards revived democratic governance 1 year after the coup. The King has little by way of direct power under Thailand's constitutions but is a depiction of countrywide identity and unity. King Bhumibol (Rama IX) —who has been on the throne since 1946—commands enormous preferred respect and moral authority, which he has used sometimes to solve political crises that have threatened countrywide steadiness.
