A Look Inside The North Face Vario 23 Tent
If you are looking to buy a 3 season 2 person tent you could do a lot worse than the North Face Vario 23 Tent. This critically acclaimed tent won the 2008 top single wall tent award from backpacker magazine and continues to be a strong contender today. The reasons for this are simple the vario does what it it's supposed to do. When spending your hard earnt money on a 3 season 2 person tent to avoid it being a waste of money you will want the tent to cover three main bases well.
Firstly you will want the tent to be lightweight so that it doesn't weigh your back pack down on long hikes. With the maximum weight of the vario is 4bls 5oz's it won't over burden your back pack.
Secondly you wont want to wake up in a puddle, so the tent you choose will want to be fully waterproof. the Vario also ticks his box as well it has fully seam sealed canopy as well as taped seams on the fully waterproof ultralight base.
The final point a tent like this has to be good at is the time to pitch so you can escape that on-coming storm. The Vario 23 tent also does well on this front the microclips enable the tent to be pitched quickly by clipping the tent to the poles rather than the fiddly job of threading them through e normal pole tunnels.
You will be glad to know the attributes of the North Face Vario 23 tent do not stop here, it has an abundance of other features that make it a surefire winner. Storage inside the tent is aided by several internal pockets. As do the size of the vestibules at fractionally over 6 square feet. North Face’s high low ventilation system helps to keep condensation away by getting fresh air flowing around the tent.
Another great feature is the upper level lift vent created using the brow pole, this allows the tent to work with the wind rather than against it, letting you have a comfortable night’s sleep without feeling as if you are going to be blown off the mountain.
North Face back up their Vario 23 tent with a full lifetime warranty, it’s useful to know that they have faith in their tents!
I'm sure you will agree that the vario 23 stands above the other tents in this catagory when you consider all of the features mentioned here. The North Face Vario gives you much more than you need from a 3 season tent.
