Fun Playing The Guitar
It's a joy to sit down and play the guitar. I found that after getting over the guitar sore fingers I could play for much longer. Will your fingers get sore too? That seems to happen to most people.
Once you get over the sore fingers there are some great advantages with playing the guitar. For example, you can take it anywhere. I just happen to love camping and backpacking. I ended up keeping an old battered up guitar for these trips. No need to worry about the guitar falling onto rocks… which did happen.
Just imagine how much fun it is to have a guitar with you. If you are with people that also play the guitar, it's fun for them too to use your instrument.
For trips on an airplane, it's nice to have a traveling guitar that is small enough to carry on the plane. There are some that can even fit on the airplanes overhead space.. Taking a full size guitar can be a real hassle simply because they often want you to pay the full ticket price for a seat for your instrument.
I don’t know if you’ve seen how the baggage people throw luggage around. I've heard more than one horror story how someone's good guitar was destroyed by attendants throwing it under planes. Travel guitars are perfect because they are so compact and lightweight it’s not a burden to carry them even off the plane. Then you can play them on your vacations.
The one I bought is called a Martin Backpacker, but there are quite a few to pick from these days. Yes, I think it’s a great idea to have an old guitar to take to the mountains and beaches, a little guitar for traveling and a good guitar to play at home.With three guitars, you will ready for any occasion.
