Read This Article Before Buying Oregon 550T
Adventures activities such hiking or backpacking will feel less comfortable if we bring too much stuff. In addition to the primary needs such as backpack bags and beverages, usually an backpaker must also bring other item such GPS devices. GPS is very necessary especially if we plan for the adventure in an area that still feels new to us. In these circumstances, GPS is surely useful so we don't get lost. In addition, GPS is usually also equipped with a compass feature, and it's helping our adventure such in the forest so we not lose of direction. In addition to carrying a GPS, there are times when we also want to take a picture of a place with a digital camera. It feels incomplete if we do not take photos of our adventure. With digital camera, you can take photos both for documentation and/or sell it to photo stock companies over the internet. With both these reasons, it means carrying a digital camera is a must.
However, as we said earlier, that bring too much stuff will disturb your comfort. It would be good idea if you just bring one items that accommodate those needs.
Garmin produced a GPS product which called Oregon 550T. From many sources, we found that this product is recommended by a lot of hiker and backpacker. But you’re not directly believed on product advertisement, right? So, it would be better if we’re make own simple analysis.
Oregon 550T is a handheld GPS navigator that has several other features beside to its main function as a GPS. Another feature is the ToPo US Maps, digital camera, Touch & Go, waterproof, changeable Micro SD Card, and many more. Okay, in terms of features, of course, we can find quickly that Oregon 550T meets the needs that we discussed at the beginning of the article. Those need is about digital camera and GPS. But of course it could not immediately be concluded that this product must be purchased.
A good GPS tools should be easy-to-use even by beginners.
A good camera must be able to produce high quality photos.
Indeed, in the advertisement of this product, it is mentioned that this product has a camera resolution of 3.2 megapixels. But again, do not be too trusting with the ad.
The best review of a product derived from the consumer. Consumer reference is a trusted source. Therefore let us take one example from the review given by the buyer of this GPS product.
Garmin Oregon 550T Review by ProfSparrow from Texas (US) :
- The GPS is easy to use and most of the menu items are pretty much self-explanatory.
- The big point of this product was it built in topo maps.. If you were to buy the more inexpensive Oregon 450T and have to buy the maps for various regions you could easily spend far more to have maps for the entire U.S. than what this device costs.
- As a backpacker, I found setting a route using my own waypoints to be a great asset. I've also used this GPS for geocaching and it is pretty accurate.
- Built-in digital camera on this product produces good enough photos.
Conclusion Result :
After doing a few analysis, We can see that this product is good quality. What about price? We found that many GPS retailer that offer promotions Garmin Oregon 550T Best Price. Once we got there, we find incredible prices for high-quality product like this. So, we’re thinking that this GPS navigator device is recommended.
