Flying overseas to Europe usually means paying a high cost for your flight. However, with just a little planning and perseverance, a person should be able to travel to any of the towns in Europe inexpensively.
Just take a look at the following list of travel hints:
1. First, take a look online. That’s the top travel site to look for low cost plane tickets to Europe. Take a crack at it on your own: do a study on every airline company that has routes flying from the U.S. to Europe. Look at the costs. Then look online. You will be shocked at how many different prices you see for the airfare.
2. Use connecting flights instead of non-stop flights. Once more, now is a great time to do a little study and seek out the places you can get a connecting plane from the U.S. to any place in Europe.
3. Fly Coach. First class or business does not spell cheap, yet affordable and cheap is what this article aims for. Everyone will arrive at the same time so there is no shame in paying half the price for a seat at the back of a plane.
4. Plan your trip during the off-season. Within that time of year, the cost of a plane ticket is cheaper. Airfare prices to Europe are lowest in the winter. However, be ready in case of a heavy snowstorm.
“I will pack only that which will not result in me being hunched over like a Sherpa.”
6. Make sure to figure out the slow days. Most of the time there are fewer travelers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Take advantage of that fact and plan your European vacation for less money. Besides, there isn’t a difference if you get there on a Sunday or a Tuesday, is there?
“I will not stuff thy pack to the point of bursting, for thy damn zippers always break/get snagged/refuse to work.”
“I will learn humility through wearing incredibly wrinkled clothes and shall not bring an iron.”
9. Buy round trip tickets because it costs less than one-way seats.
“I accept that I will come home wearing something I didn’t take and will have lost/traded/burned much of what I did take.”
11. Wait for good prices. We all arrive in the same plane - save some more money and try to wait for the flight to be at its lowest price.
12. Volunteering to be bumped off the flight and put on the next one is also a great way to make money. Taking a few more hours to get there could mean a large cash discount or voucher you can use the next time you fly.
And if you have the courage, you might consider these tips:
1. Find people who changed their mind at the last minute and buy their tickets at a bargain price. The only problem is that your passport must match the ticket name, solve this either through a ticket agent or matching names.
2. Try seeing if there are any disabled passengers on the plane and see if they want some help. In exchange, they might offer to pay part of your ticket costs.
On a low budget, these tips could greatly benefit an individual. Many may lead you astray from your intended destination, but they are all viable options. Remember, there are many more choices than one would have previously thought.
